
The first quarter of 2020—and March in particular—will forever be remembered as the moment when a virus roughly a million times smaller than a pinhead brought the world to a standstill. As the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV2) and the disease it spreads (COVID-19) moved from China, throughout Europe, and into the U.S., hundreds of millions of people were forced to stay in their homes in an effort to limit the spread.
